This is a list of musicians from Pakistan listed in alphabetical order. The list includes musical bands, some groups and solo artists that were and are in the industry today. The list also includes film singers, folk singers, pop/rock singers, jazz musicians, rap artists, dj, qawwal and ghazal traditional artists. Pakistani singers and bands became very popular and started to spring up during the early nineties, with pop, rock and Ghazal becoming more fashionable with the younger generations.

Alamgir is a Pakistani pop singer of the 1970s, is one of the pioneers of the Urdu pop music in Pakistan.Many call him the elvis of the east for his style and stage presence.

 
Abbas ali khan is by far the one of the most underrated singer/songwriters in pakistan .So far Abbas brings a total of 7 awards to his career profile among which some of the significant ones are for his elegant and jaw dropping videos. s is formally learning Indian Classical Music (Vocals) and is the Disciple (Sworn Apprenticeship) of Ustad Fateh Ali Khan of the famous Patiala Legacy.i LOVE HIS MUSIC.

 
Abida Parveen is a Pakistani singer of Sindhi descent and one of the foremost exponents of Sufi music (Sufiana kalaam). She sings mainly ghazals, Urdu love songs, and her forte, Kafis, a solo genre accompanied by percussion and harmonium, using a repertoire of songs by Sufi poets. Parveen sings in Urdu, Sindhi, Saraiki, Punjabi and Persian. together with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is considered one of the finest Sufi vocalists of the modern era. 

 
Arif Lohar is a Punjabi folk singer from Pakistan. He usually sings with a native musical instrument resembling tongs (called a 'chimta'). His folk music is representative of traditional folk heritage of the Punjab. He is the son of folk singer Alam Lohar. In 2005, he was awarded Pride of Performance Award from Government of Pakistan-the highest civil award in Pakistan.he has more than 150 albums to his credit and has recorded more than 3000 mostly Punjabi language songs.a living legend .

 
Aaroh was an alternative rock band from Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, formed in 1998.The band was founded by lead guitarist Nabeel Nihal Chishty and vocalist Farooq Ahmed, who were joined by keyboardist Kamran Khan, bassist Khalid Khan and drummer Adnan Hussain. The band achieved fame with their exuberant live performances backed up with thought provoking lyrics, and also, their performance in the Pakistani rock scene in circa 2002 to 2005.

 
Junoon was a sufi rock band from Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, formed in 1990.Junoon was Pakistan's most successful band Q magazine regarded them as "One of the biggest bands in the world" New York Times called Junoon "the U2 of Pakistan" the group has released a collective total of nineteen albums: seven studio albums; one soundtrack; two live albums; four video albums; and five compilations.Junoon is South Asia's most successful band of all time with more than 25 million records sold worldwide.

 
Ustad Mehdi Hassan Khan was a Pakistani ghazal singer and a former playback singer for Lollywood. He is famously known as the "King of Ghazal", and is one of the most successful singers of South Asia.Legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar once likened his songs to the "voice of god" The highest civilian honor of Pakistan is conferred on him the Nishan-e-Imtiaz.

 
Mekaal Hasan Band, sometimes shortened to MHB, is a sufi rock band formed in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan in 1999 by composer-songwriter, guitarist Mekaal Hasan. With band members who each have roots in differing genres, including jazz, classical music, soul music, and sufi rock, the combination of each member has created a sound which has earned them fans from a variety of quarters. In my opinion one the best Live acts pakistan has to offer .

 
Nazia Hassan was an iconic Pakistani pop singer. Her song "Aap Jaisa Koi" from the Indian film Qurbani (1980) made her a legend and pop icon in Pakistan and all of South Asia in the 1980s Her debut album Disco Deewane (1981) also charted in fourteen countries worldwide and became the best-selling Asian pop record up until that time.Nazia Hassan, along with her brother Zohaib Hassan, went on to sell over 60 million records worldwide.

 
Madam Noorjehan who was a legendary singer and actress in British India and Pakistan. Her career spanned seven decades. She was renowned as one of the greatest and most influential singers of her time in South Asia and was given the honorific title of Malika-e-Tarannum meaning the queen of melody.. She holds a remarkable record of 10,000 songs to her singing credits in various languages of India and Pakistan including Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Sindhi languages.

 
Noori is a rock band from Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, formed in 1996. The group was formed by songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist, Ali Noor, along with his younger brother Ali Hamza, who were soon joined by bassist Muhammad Ali Jafri and drummer Gumby.The band are considered as one of the pioneering forces behind what is dubbed at the "21st Century pop revolution of Pakistan".

 
Nazia and Zoheb were a Pakistani pop group from Karachi, Sindh formed in 1980. The group consisted of two siblings, Nazia Hassan and Zoheb Hassan, who were a singing sensation and pop icons in Pakistan and all of South Asia. They are also regarded as pioneers of the Pakistani pop music scene. Nazia and Zoheb were also one of the most successful groups in Pakistan which sold more than 60 million albums worldwide.

 
Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan is a Pakistani classical singer belonging to Patiala Gharana lineage.He is the youngest brother of the late Asad Amanat Ali Khan.He was the lead vocalist of the Pakistani rock band Fuzön and later went on to a immensely successful Bollywood playback singing career. He was awarded the President's Pride of Performance civil award on 14 August 2007.

Sajid and Zeeshan Pakistani electronic duo from Peshawar, composed of Sajid Ghafoor (guitars and harmonicas) and Zeeshan Parwez (synths, laptops and FX modules). Their songs are written by Sajid and arranged by Zeehsan, that vary from each other in terms of feel and expression. The group formed somewhere in the mid of 2003 and has scored two hits and critical praise. The band draws upon a diverse set of influences including, American singer Jeff Buckley and bands like Radiohead, Counting Crows.
 

 
Talal Qureshi is a Electronic/Dubstep music producer from Pakistan. BBC Asian Network's legendary DJ Bobby Friction called Talal's as "An extraordinary individual who is extremely creative and innovative" while labelled his music as the "The Sound of Future". DJ Nihal - another renowned radio personality on BBC Radio1 proudly announced on radio: This guy, Talal Qureshi, is one of my favourite Producers in the world - A guy who understands music, brings soul and infuses it with technology".

 
Vital Signs were a Pakistani Pop rock band that formed in Rawalpindi in 1986.They were widely known as Pakistan's first and most successful pop band. The band were one of the first bands in Pakistan to insist on playing live music where most music was sampled and programmed synthpop. They were the widely also known as Pakistan's first and most successful pop band and were given the title of "pioneers of pop music in Pakistan.

 
 
Zeb and Haniya is a Pakistani pop group from Kohat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The duo's songs are mostly in Urdu, but some lyrics are also in Pashto, Dari and Turkish. Their music has been described at various times as alternative, art folk, ethnic blues and easy listening by international reviewer's and critics. Their songs bring a spectrum of style, instrumentation and influence. Some tracks ring with the cheeriness of pop while others capture the evocative richness of Pashto and Dari folk.

Rahman has described Sajjad as the original crossover: "From the realm of the classical, he metamorphosed into one of the brightest lights of Pakistani pop.Always striking the right note, and never missing a beat, even the most hardened purist has to give Sajjad his due. This man can breathe life in a Ghazal even as he puts the V back into verve. He is one of the very few singers in Pakistan who seems a complete singer.
